Historical Houses 2013

I went to the John Muir historical house at around 2:45-3 pm on Saturday. I loved the set up of the fire place, and I just could not resist but capture the moment. I tried making the picture warped looking by tip toeing and getting the picture at somewhat of a birds-eye view so I can make it look warped and have everything look bigger. I enhanced the details on lightroom and adjusted the shadows and lighting on lightroom as well.

With the individual pictures of Sophie and Breanna, I attempted the double exposure and ghost like effect. I did not adjust the lighting for Breanna's picture as much as I had to with the picture of Sophie.

I only edited the details on this picture as well as converting it to black and white. I wanted the details in the curtain to stand out more than the table set up. I like the gloomy feeling it gives.
The shadows fell very nice on this side of the house. I didn't have to do much aside from changing it to black and white.

Sense of Place

The students pictured here look like they are enjoying the new area between H and J hall. They all seem to enjoy themselves on the first day of school.

Paige seems to be relaxed in the new area. It looks as if she is satisfied with the weather on the first day of school.
